What happens when the world falls apart? What happens when one side splits from the other, and then those sides split further, and the fragmentation repeats. What happens when our social fabric begins to unravel? How do we find common ground? In this presentation, artist and storyteller Pi Luna explains how she uses diverse perspectives to assemble new stories. Like a puzzle, when the pieces come together, something new emerges–a story of hope, healing, and shared humanity. Watch her process, hear her story, and be prepared to be inspired.

Pi Luna Bio: Often creative people are told they need to fit into a box. Pi is not a person to fit into boxes. She is an artist, a former math teacher, curriculum designer and author. Sometimes her mind feels chaotic because she is pulled in so many directions. Art is a way to bring the pieces together to find a sense of completeness. Pi pursued a BA from Prescott College and then an MFA from Goddard College.  While in school, she studied the integration of art, math, and Jungian Psychology. She learned about the archetypes, our unconscious emotions, and how those surface as symbols in our dreams. By painting dreamlike metaphors, she can invoke these archetypes and bring insight to viewers.

She lives in Santa Fe, NM with her husband who is a singer-songwriter and nurse. She enjoys hikes in nature, dance and great food.
