APRENDE Pre-Apprenticeship Program

APRENDE Pre-Apprenticeship is for people interested in becoming an early childhood assistant teacher who do not have experience in early childhood.  Pre-apprentices gain experience in the field through a 150-hour field experience and earn a Child Development Certificate (CDC) in early childhood education. Pre-Apprentices earn a stipend for their field experience and early childhood coursework.

To join the APRENDE Pre-Apprenticeship Program you must meet the following criteria:

  • 16+ Years Old
  • Qualify for college level coursework through the Accuplacer, high school dual credit, or previous college experience
  • Ability to complete 150 hours of apprenticeship on the job learning during a college term at an early childhood center
  • Ability to pass a background check
