Summer 2025 Workshops
This summer we are offering a 2-day workshop for early educators working with infants, toddlers, and families in Gallup, NM in partnership with the Navajo Nation Early Childhood Programs and the McKinley County Early Childhood Coalition. Day one will cover the Pyramid model for infants and toddlers and day two will build on the information from day one to focus on trauma responsive care for infants and toddlers.

Day One: Pyramid Model for Infants and Toddlers
The Pyramid model promotes the social, emotional, and behavioral development of young children. This evidence-based framework supports all children at the universal level, reducing the need for intensive intervention. The guiding principles of this model includes developing skills, implementing routines in naturally occurring environments, and modifying strategies to be responsive to the cultural and linguistic diversity of families and children.
Day 2: Trauma-Responsive Care for Infants and Toddlers
The Trauma-Responsive Care for Infants and Toddlers in Child Care series focuses on how the early childhood workforce can support infants, toddlers, and families who have experienced or who are at risk for experiencing trauma. This workshops provides information and materials that focus on trauma and trauma responsive care, the influence of trauma on infant/toddler development, ways to support family resilience, and strategies to strengthen caregiver wellness and well-being
Space is limited to 35 participants. Registration is required.
Spring 2025 Workshops
Pyramid Training for Infant and Toddler Classrooms Part 2

Participants do not need to have attended Fall 2024 Part 1 of the workshop to come to Part 2

Pirámide Para Cuidadores De Bebés y Niños Pequeños Parte 2

El Modelo Pirámide promueve el desarrollo social, emocional y conductual de los niños pequeños. Esta basado en la evidencia y apoya a todos los niños en el nivel universal. Los principios de este modelo incluyen la promoción del desarrollo de habilidades, la aplicación de estrategias en el contexto de rutinas, y la modificación de estrategias para que respondan a la diversidad cultural y lingüística de las familias y los niños.

Trauma-Responsive Care for Infants and Toddlers

The Trauma-Responsive Care for Infants and Toddlers in Child Care series focuses on how the early childhood workforce can support infants, toddlers, and families who have experienced or who are at risk for experiencing trauma.
This 3-session series offers information and materials that focus on trauma and trauma responsive care, the influence of trauma on infant/toddler development, ways to support family resilience, and strategies to strengthen caregiver wellness and well-being.

Atención y Cuidados Sobre El Trauma En Infantes Y Niños Pequeños

Aprenda cómo el personal que atiende a bebés y niños pequeños puede ayudar a quienes han sufrido traumas o corren el riesgo de sufrirlos. Esta serie ofrece a los cuidadores de bebés y niños pequeños, ya sea en el hogar o en el aula, información y materiales que se centran en la influencia del trauma en el desarrollo infantil, estrategias y prácticas de cuidado sensibles al trauma, formas de apoyar la resiliencia familiar y estrategias para fortalecer el bienestar del cuidador.

Positive Discipline

The Positive Discipline approach teaches and guides children through safe and caring relationships that demonstrate mutual respect. Early educators learn skills that help children find a sense of belonging through activities that create connection and inclusion in group settings. This social-emotional approach focuses on how young children learn and creates long term impacts by developing important social and life skills that support school readiness and positive relationships.
