Spring 2026 Workshops
Bienestar Financiero Familiar

Positive Discipline

The Positive Discipline approach teaches and guides children through safe and caring relationships that demonstrate mutual respect. Supporting Young Children with Autism

This training is designed for early childhood educators and parents/caregivers who want to better understand Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and learn effective ways to support young children with autism at home and in inclusive learning environments. Participants will gain foundational knowledge about autism in early childhood, including communication styles, sensory needs, socio-emotional development, and behavior. Through real-life examples and evidence-based strategies, participants will explore practical tools such as visual schedules, sensory accommodations, and structured routines. The training emphasizes individualized support and collaboration between families, educators, and specialists. By the end of the session, participants will feel more confident supporting the strengths and needs of children with autism and fostering inclusive, supportive environments where children can thrive.

Learning Through Play

Play is a child’s language, it is also how children receive and process information. In this workshop, we will explore ways to build communication through fun activities and learn more about being playful as parents and teachers. From babies taking their first steps to older kids learning how to be a good friend, play is more than an activity, it is a great way to connect and communicate in engaging ways.
Not only can you use play to help your child reach developmental milestones, research shows that adults who play feel more content and relaxed. During our time together we will explore how you can use play as a tool for creating connections, exploring challenging behavior, and helping children find solutions.
If more than one adult in your family would like to participate, complete a separate registration form for each adult.
