This program is to prepare students to provide emergency care in a 911 setting. EMT-Intermediates are licensed professionals in the State of New Mexico who work under the guidance of a Medical Director and provide care in numerous settings from urban to wilderness. Successful completion of this course will allow students to sit for the National Registry Board Exam for New Mexico licensure.
Prerequisite to the program: Students must have a current New Mexico Basic license. Additionally students
must pass the New Mexico Department of Health background check and drug screen which is provided at the start of class.
