Located on the southeast wing of campus, the center offers 19 open studio classrooms, several multipurpose classrooms, media arts labs and student studios, where degree seeking arts portfolio students can work privately after class and on weekends.
The Visual Arts Gallery at SFCC’s Fine Arts Center is an elegant 1600 square foot exhibition space that displays the work of the Department of Fine Arts’ faculty and students. Curated exhibitions include regional, national and internationally recognized artists in all media.
The facility also offers some 200 oversized lockers, where art students can keep their materials and belongings safe during the semester.
The School of Arts, Design, and Media Arts offers numerous degrees and certificates in the arts, ranging from woodworking and sculpture to fashion design and graphic design. These degrees and certificates prepare students for entry-level employment, transfer to a four-year college or university, or to launch a creative business.
Faculty is made up of practicing artists and designers who bring years of real-world experience to the classroom.
