Our Fitness and Wellness classes allow you the opportunity to strengthen your body and mind through active participation in a course such as yoga or to study the nuances of good health management through a variety of lecture and discussion courses.

NEW! Alexander Technique for Agility, Mobility and Balance

The theme of this course is moving with agility and mobility in our everyday lives and transforming discomfort or pain into ease and balance, sitting at our desk at work, bending down, exercising or playing the piano. The Alexander Technique is a long proven method to achieve flexibility and strength by identifying the harmful tensions and redirection our intention to create an easy movement flow. Research shows this may improve quality of life, promotes mindfulness and supports the healing of old injuries.

Meditation and Yoga

This is a four-day workshop designed to introduce the student to meditation and to enhance a home yoga practice. A Zen-style sitting practice will be taught, along with a walking meditation. The yoga instruction is provided in the Iyengar tradition and will include pranayama exercises. Students are encouraged to participate at their own skill level.
