April 2024: Vendor (Bolton) was selected to Conduct the Classification / Compensation Study for SFCC.
June 2024: Bolton Conducted, the Department Functional Survey, Position Information Form, and Interviews with leadership team.
August 2024: Bolton Presentation to Faculty and Staff regarding the salary study process.
September 2024: Faculty submits their Position Information Form
October 2024: Survey to Peer institutions is concluded.
February 2025: Final results of the Bolton Classification / Compensation Study is shared with the College
March 2025: Bolton presents the results of the Study to employees of the college.
What’s Next:
- Review and determine, as necessary, salary Adjustments for staff members that fall below the Entry level for the proposed salary grade structure
- College-wide Job Description audit by Bolton, supervisors, and HR
- Finalize the new job families, job descriptions, job classification and compensation structure
- Data update on years of relevant education and experience for appropriate positions.
- Implement new salary structure in Workday
- Phased salary adjustment for employees, starting with 80% below the market, and 80% to 89.9% of the market. Moving to 90% to 100% of the market next as budget becomes available.
