Gerald Clay Memorial Basketball Tournament Registration Packet
Santa Fe Community College will host the Gerald Clay Memorial Basketball Tournament on Fri. and Sat., March 3 and 4. The college will honor the memory of longtime faculty member Gerald Clay who died in August. 2016. Funds raised through the Santa Fe Community College Foundation will support the William C. Fitness Education Center.
Please read the enclosed paperwork. The Entry Forms must be completely filled out with the names, email, phone number and shirt size for each team member. Each team member must fill out the “Participant Waiver” completely and sign it in ink. All paperwork and fees must be submitted to the Fitness Education Center front desk by Tuesday, Feb 14 by 9 p.m.
There will be a Captains Meeting at 10 a.m. Sat. Feb. 25 at the Fitness Education Center. Any team that doesn’t have a captain representing them will be disqualified from the tournament. Players not included on the entry form will not be allowed to play. Packet pickup will be on the day of the tournament, starting at 7:30 a.m.
Participants may sign up for a “Three Point Contest” and a “Free Throw Contest” at the time of the tournament.
Teams of no more than four players for the three-on-three basketball tournament may register for three different levels of tournament play: fun ($50), recreational ($75) or competitive ($100.) Checks should be made out to the Santa Fe Community College Foundation and should be delivered along with the entry packet. Credit card payment can be made by calling the Santa Fe Community College Foundation at 505-428-1855, however, you must deliver your entry materials to the front desk at the college’s fitness center.
Parking will be limited during the tournament, so please look at the map provided to find alternate parking other than in the lot next to the William C. Witter Fitness Education Center. Please allow plenty of time for parking, so you can arrive for the tournament on time.
