Business Administration
Want a career in management or administration? The Business Administration Program prepares you to succeed in a variety of settings, from a small, independent business to a global corporation. Learn to be motivated, organized and competent at handling any challenge or problem. Study how to analyze situations, identify problems, evaluate management environments and create marketing opportunities. Graduates are ready to land a good job as a manager in sales or retail, a project assistant, an office manager, and more.
Accounting
Interested in numbers and business? In SFCC’s Accounting Program, you’ll study the principles of macroeconomics and microeconomics, payroll and computerized accounting. Learn to think analytically and to excel at organization and problem solving – essential talents to land a job as a public accountant, manager,financial analyst, market researcher, and more.
Culinary Arts
Participate in experience-based learning in the Culinary Arts Program. Learn cooking basics in state-of-the-art commercial kitchens, how to prep and serve food in the student-run East Wing Eatery or best practices in managing a food truck. Student “cheflings” apprentice with top Santa Fe restaurants and caterers. SFCC’s chef-instructors have helped students launch restaurant and hospitality careers. Experience Italian cuisine and culture through the study abroad program’s annual trip to Italy. Graduates have great job prospects in a variety of positions and environments in Santa Fe, a tourist mecca.
Criminal Justice
SFCC’s Criminal Justice Program prepares you for a fascinating career in the field, from fighting cybercrime to law enforcement supervision at the command level. Get a solid introduction to criminal investigations, criminal justice, federal law enforcement, forensic science, and criminal law and procedure. Understand the ethics of law enforcement, fundamental to building effective policing as well as trust within communities. Study police patrol and procedure, parole and community corrections and other areas essential for a job in this sector.
Hospitality & Tourism
Dreaming of a career in Hospitality and Tourism? The sky’s the limit at SFCC, where you’ll learn the basics to prepare you for a career as an airline sales and service agent, concierge, restaurant or hotel manager, tour and travel guide or running your own bed and breakfast. Study dining room service and beverage management, hospitality supervision and sanitation and safety. Get in on this energetic, customer-service oriented and always booming profession.
Legal Studies
SFCC’s Legal Studies Program lays the groundwork for a brilliant career in the courtroom or at a law office. Study introduction to law and the paralegal profession, legal research and writing, the practice and procedure of torts, alternative dispute resolutions, or tribal law and governments. A 16-week internship will help you gain experience in an exemplary law firm in Santa Fe.
