Barnes & Noble Online Bookstore Update

Hi SFCC! I wanted to update the campus on the latest happenings with the bookstore transition and our new partnership with Barnes & Noble (B&N). All plans are in place to go live at 8 a.m. Monday, August 16 with the new B&N online bookstore where SFCC students will be able to purchase their books. To get started, students who use the online bookstore will be able to sign in as a new customer and create an account. SFCC has worked closely with B&N to provide free 2-day shipping for orders that occur between August 16 and September 12. Depending on book availability, students should have the option of purchasing new hard copy, used hard copy, electronic, or rental book options via the online B&N bookstore.

Students who have financial aid, dual credit, payment plans, or third-party funds will be issued a voucher number to be used to pay for book orders on the B&N online bookstore site. The voucher number will be sent from B&N directly to students via the official student email address that SFCC has on record. It will be very important that students check their official SFCC email address for the voucher information as well as related book order information.

The B&N online bookstore operates 24-7 and contains a wealth of support material, including video tutorials and a Help Center, which we will make widely available on Monday. Please note, the on-campus SFCC bookstore will operate between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. M-F to sell remaining apparel items and supplies inventory. The on-campus bookstore will assist in delivering books to students who do not want books shipped to their home address and instead desire to have books shipped to the SFCC bookstore address for pick up.

The SFCC copy center will be open between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. M-F as well.
