About the Art Academy

The Art Academy at SFCC is a new, non-credit program designed for advanced learners seeking to further develop their artistic practice. Courses will be led by SFCC faculty and will provide opportunities for students to refine their skills in a collaborative, studio-based environment.

Art Academy courses are offered through Continuing Education and are intended to complement SFCC’s existing credit-bearing art and design programs.

Presentation Overview

This presentation will provide an overview of the Art Academy and how it fits within the college’s broader academic offerings.

Topics will include:

  • The purpose and structure of the Art Academy
  • How Art Academy courses differ from credit courses
  • Course formats, scheduling, and registration
  • Future plans and areas of development
