
Stipends are available for the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 semesters for students studying in Early Childhood Education program or in the Alternative Teacher Licensure program for an Early Childhood Teacher Certification. Eligible students will be able to receive a stipend of up to $2000 per term after successfully completing early childhood coursework.
Students will be eligible for the N.M. Early Childhood Student Success stipends* at SFCC if they meet the following criteria:
- Declared major in Early Childhood Associate Degree or Alternative Teacher Licensure in Early Childhood
- Successful completion of 6-9 credit hours in degree plan: $1500 per term (Fall 2022 and Spring 2023)
- Successful completion of 10+ credit hours in degree plan: $2000 per term (Fall 2022 and Spring 2023)
- GPA of 2.5 or higher
*Stipends will be awarded at the end of the term to all students who meet the above criteria.
For students who enroll in the Early Childhood APRENDE Pre-Apprenticeship program there are additional funds available. The APRENDE program will give students the opportunity to gain experience in an early childhood setting and earn credits toward an associate degree. Early Childhood students also have access to the NM Opportunity Scholarship as well other scholarships and grants. Contact the Financial Aid office for more information.
