Student Accessibility Services recognizes individuals with disabilities as an integral part of a diverse community. In order to create equitable, inclusive, and realistic learning environments, wherever possible, we are committed to safeguarding access to all the college’s programs. Students with accessibility needs are encouraged to call, email, or stop by Student Accessibility Services to make an appointment. Students who have accessibility needs due to a disability may receive academic support through Student Accessibility Services.
Services provided include case management, assistive technology, and classroom accommodations. Please be prepared to submit documentation of your disability to receive accommodations. If documentation is not readily available, please discuss it with a member of the Student Accessibility Services staff; we may be able to assist you in obtaining the appropriate materials. Campus Resources
The Welcome and Advising Center provides academic advising, transfer advising. For more information call 428-1270 or wac@sfcc.edu.
Counseling Services provides personal counseling, career counseling, and life planning. The goal of the counseling services department is to improve your retention and persistence at SFCC. For more information call 428-1682 or janelle.johnson@sfcc.edu.
The Library provides a variety of services that support and complement the instructional programs of the institution. Learning materials and research assistance are available. Additional services include Internet access, passports to other libraries, study rooms for quiet or group study, reference assistance, and interlibrary loan services. Call 428-1352.
Tutoring Center offers free tutoring. Tutors can help with reading, writing, study skills, Spanish, science, mathematics and computer applications. Tutoring is available by appointment or on a walk-in basis. Call 505-428-1 offers an array of support services for students who are first generation college students OR have a documented disability OR qualify based on financial aid. Adult Education provides free instruction in reading, writing, math, GED preparation, and English as a Second Language. AE services are open to all community residents who are no longer enrolled in a public high school program. 505-428-1356, abe@sfcc.edu
