This is a list of sites that students enrolled in HUDV 170 Volunteer in the Community can choose to volunteer with. If you are a SFCC or Santa Fe community member looking for volunteer opportunities, feel free to contact any of these organizations on your own.

If you are a student interested in earning credit for volunteer service it is OK to contact any of the agencies below before attending an HUDV 170 enrollment session but you must be enrolled in the course to receive credit for volunteer service.

Help teach elementary school children nature education at the Lenore Curtin Wetland Preserve (LCWP). Programs are structured with specific focus on subjects such as how animals and plants depend on each other for survival, how to use binoculars, how plants play an important part in our lives, the importance of wetlands, bird identification, insect behavior and more.  3-4 hour training session required.
