This is a list of sites that students enrolled in HUDV 170 Volunteer in the Community can choose to volunteer with. If you are a SFCC or Santa Fe community member looking for volunteer opportunities, feel free to contact any of these organizations on your own.

If you are a student interested in earning credit for volunteer service it is OK to contact any of the agencies below before attending an HUDV 170 enrollment session but you must be enrolled in the course to receive credit for volunteer service.

Job Description/Responsibilities: Help in the resale store, walk, cuddle and groom the animals; landscaping, photography, orgainizing, help in any way. Training is offered.

Volunteers are also needed at mobile adoption events in Santa Fe or Albuquerque to help handle dogs, puppies, cats and kittens. There is no minimum time commitment for mobile adoptions and youth volunteers are welcome with an adult.

Qualifications: love animals and not be allergic to cats and dogs. May have to clean up some messes.

Responsibilities: Answer phones, greet public, workshop registration, admistrative help, assisting with event managing, graphic arts, carpentry, painting, murals, media lab supervision, mentoring and more.

Qualifications: Experience with teenagers, art, administration, web graphic design, fundraising, carpentry, painting, event management

Time: 4- 10 hours per week, Tuesday- Saturdays, noon- 7:00 PM; later for evening concerts and events.

Training is provided through orientations and special trainings
