Jenny Landen

Jenny Landen, RN, MSN, FNP-BC - Director, Department of Nursing Education

Jenny received her BSN at the University of Alaska in 1984. She then received her Master's in Nursing from University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 1988. She has been a family nurse practitioner for 23 years with most of her experience being in reproductive health. She has experience working with the Indian Health Services and Planned Parenthood. She has been working at SFCC as nursing faculty since the summer of 2009. She is also a Certified AHA CPR/First Aid Instructor.

Carmen Angel

Carmen Angel, RN, MSN - Lead Instructor, Level I

Carmen has been a nurse for 21 years graduating from Santa Fe Community College with an ADN in 1991, she went on and obtained her BSN and MSN from the University of Phoenix. She is currently a doctoral student at the University of New Mexico. Clinical areas of practice include Oncology, HIV/AIDS, and clinical research. Carmen began working with SFCC in 2010 as the nursing coordinator for the alternate track and is also the lead instructor for Level I.

Julia Banaszek

Julia Banaszek, RN, MSN - Assistant Professor Department of Health & Sciences, Lead Instructor Level III Nursing

Julia received her RN in 1975 and her BSN in 1986 from The College of Santa Fe and her M.S. in Nursing Education from University of Phoenix. Julia is certified in Neonatal Resuscitation and as a CPR instructor in CPR. She has been working at SFCC since 2004 as an instructor in Obstetrics. Julia has worked as a staff nurse in Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Operating Room, Post Anesthesia Recovery, supervisory and Home Health Care for over 35 years.

Julia teaches Obstetrics, Pediatrics and, Issues in Nursing; and she is the Lead Instructor for Level III.

Jennifer Rogers

Jennifer Rogers BSN - Lab Coordinator Skills and Simulation

Jennifer (Ginger) Rogers is a native of Santa Fe. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a BSN in 1978. She is currently attending South University through Savannah Georgia and is expected to complete her MSN in January of 2013.

Ginger joined the staff of Santa Fe Community College nursing program in 2010. Her professional career included clinical nursing as well as management in critical care and emergency medicine. Ginger loves nursing and is committed to helping the students be successful.

Beverly Romero

Beverly Romero, RN, MSN - Lead Instructor, Level II

Beverly Romero is a native of Santa Fe. She graduated from the Santa Fe Community College nursing program in 2006 and went on to receive her master’s degree in nursing education in June 2012. Her professional nursing portfolio includes working in settings such as assisted living, cruise ship nursing, medical surgical nursing and five years of emergency nursing. Beverly is passionate about teaching and committed to the educational success of students.

Susan Winter

Susan Winter, RN, MSN - Lead Instructor, Level IV

Susan Winter received her B.S.N. at the University of Maine in 1975 and earned her M.S.N. at the University of Connecticut in 1983. She joined SFCC in August of 2009 as part of Level II nursing faculty. Currently, Susan is Lead for Level IV Nursing in Adult Nursing I.

She has been in nursing for over 30 years in various positions including hospital nursing, intensive care, home infusion, home care and hospice. She is currently involved in the statewide common nursing curriculum work, participating in the clinical and simulation committee. Susan loves gardening, hiking, her grandchildren and her dogs.
