Aamna Nayyar
Director, Department of Dental Health
Aamna Nayyar holds a B.S. in biological sciences from the University of Karachi, Pakistan, and Doctorate degree in dentistry from Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro, Pakistan. She received a silver medal for top honors in the final year of her dental degree. Aamna completed two years of post-graduate residency in general dentistry at Liaquat National Hospital, Karachi, Pakistan. She is has her dental practice license in good standing with Dental Board of California and Pakistan Medical & Dental Council. She is also a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), American Dental Education Association (ADEA) and Skill-USA.
Aamna has been teaching at SFCC since 2002 and previously ran a private dental practice. She has been included in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers" since 2005. She is also the recipient of NISOD Staff Excellence Award. She is a reviewer and author of several dental publications. Recently she had the honor of serving New Mexicans as a Triage in Mission of Mercy (NM- MOM) 2010 in Albuquerque, NM.
Jack M. Jackson
Adjunct Faculty, Dental Program
Jack M. Jackson graduated with his undergraduate degree from Wayne State University and the University Of Detroit, Michigan in 1961. He graduated with his DDS degree in 1965 from University of Detroit School of Dentistry, where he received a Senior Research Award. He received his Certification from Board of Oral & maxillofacial Surgery in 1978. He earned a BA degree and completed 15 hours of MA credits from Florida Atlantic University in 1998. He has 35+ years experience in dentistry as Consultant and 8+ years experience as instructor in Oral Surgery and Oral Pathology & Diagnosis.
Dr. Jackson is a member of American Dental Society; Florida Dental Association; American Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (rtd.); American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (rtd.) and is a fellow of American Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is now retired from clinical dentistry and focused on Academic Dentistry.
Lisa Rodriguez
Adjunct Faculty, Dental Department
Lisa Rodriguez is a Certified Dental Assistant and currently licensed with New Mexico Dental Board as a DA. She is a third generation Santa Fean. Her background in the dental field and public relations brings a unique combination of making people smile for a lifetime, and the mindset and beliefs that her students are her number one priority. She is also an instructor with The American Red Cross. Lisa brings a wide array of experience into the classroom which teaches students firsthand working in the dental practice.
Lisa believes life is constantly testing us for our level of commitment and life's greatest rewards are reserved for those who demonstrate a never-ending commitment to act until they achieve. The level of resolve can move mountains but it must be constant and consistent.
