Welcome to the School of Health and Sciences
Many occupations projected to grow the fastest in the future are in the health care industry, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. From 2004-14, total employment of home health aides is projected to increase by 56 percent, medical assistants by 52 percent, physician assistants by 50 percent, and physical therapist assistants by 44 percent.
The School of Health and Sciences can prepare you for one of these high-demand careers. You’ll learn to provide care and treatment that improves the quality of life of those you serve and prevents further deterioration or disease.
Programs in biological and physical science offer great foundations for students who plan to transfer to a four-year institution or professional program.
Your education will take place in the state-of-the-art, LEED-Gold Certified Health and Sciences Building, which consists of laboratories, classrooms, offices, and a dental clinic operated by Santa Fe's La Familia Medical Center.
