Concentration in the AAA in Professional Crafts degree
Certificate (CERT) in Fine Woodworking
About the Program
The Fine Woodworking program teaches students standards of fine craftsmanship, inspired design, and an entrepreneurial spirit for a woodworking venture.
The coursework includes a strong emphasis on design, construction techniques, and problem solving. Students learn a blend of machinery skills and traditional hand-tool expertise.
The Fine Woodworking program features:
- Well equipped studios with modern machinery and hand tools comparable with those used in a small woodworking business.
- Small class size assures individual attention.
- Courses taught by accomplished woodworking professionals, Monday through Saturday, morning, afternoon, and evening.
Students are prepared for self-employment, for positions in the craft industry, or for continued study toward a bachelor's degree at a four-year institution.
