Drama Program - School of Arts and Design

The Drama program is small but dynamic, with dedicated and experienced instructors who receive high marks from their students every semester.

Students who take our drama classes have hands on experience with actual participation in rehearsals, performances, writing, and/or cameras. There are opportunities to attend live performances in and around Santa Fe.

Students also have the opportunity to be seen in performance. At the end of each Spring and Fall semester the acting class takes part in the Showcase of SFCC Performing Arts. This includes all the acting and dance classes and is very well attended by 250-300 friends and family.

While many students may find the thought of a performance challenging or even intimidating at first, invariably they come through it with excitement and greatly increased confidence.

All ages, and types of SFCC students are encouraged to take these entry level courses to fulfill humanities requirements or simply to explore their own creative possibilities. These courses are a great way to find out whether the Performing Arts are for you.
