Bilingual Education Endorsement - School of Business and Education
Certificate* (CERT) in Bilingual Education Endorsement
About the Program
SFCC TESOL and Bilingual Education programs are 12 credit hours and can be earned online, in the classroom or as a combination. Whether online or on site, courses are all taught by certified instructors. SFCC’s Teacher Education Program is state accredited and follows national accreditation standards (NCATE). Teachers must pass New Mexico Teacher Assessment for licensure. Students in the teacher alternative licensure program often return for TESOL and Bilingual certification once they complete their program.
Spanish and English are both used as a language of instruction in EDUC 220 and EDUC 222. Participants must pass the "La Prueba" Spanish Language proficiency test before applying for the bilingual endorsement with the NMPED.
