About the Program
If the precision and detail of engineering plans appeals to you, then the drafting and engineering technology program might be a good fit. This degree provides students with opportunities to acquire skills necessary to enter the workplace as competent drafting and engineering technicians. You'll be able to make graphical layout decisions and be capable of embracing the use of future technological advances in various engineering disciplines.
This program combines computer-based modeling with conventional methods in engineering graphics communication to solve drafting and basic design-related problems. Coursework includes Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) competencies.
