School of Trades and Technology - Computer Science Program
Associate in Science (AS)
About the Program
Computer science is at the heart of our modern world. Computers are inside our cars and our cell phones, our factories, our kitchen appliances and our satellites. Constantly changing technology has created a demand for those with degrees in computer science. No other discipline has grown so fast in such a short time, and none has better prospects for its graduates.
The Santa Fe Community College computer science program prepares you to move on to a university and earn a bachelor's degree in computer science. The courses are patterned after the lower-division courses at universities so you'll get the required general education courses, plus core requirements in programming and systems analysis.
