Public Programming - 2013

Public Programming at the Planetarium - 2013

 

Tickets are $5 for adults; $3 for preteens and seniors; and free for SFCC students, SFCC employees and planetarium members.


Tickets go on sale at the door 30 minutes before each program. Shows begin promptly; latecomers are not admitted.

3 at 8-9 p.m. - Backyard Astronomy
Enjoy a live presentation of the current skies in the Planetarium and an outdoor viewing of the night sky, if weather permits.

10 at 8-9 p.m.- Light, the Universal Informant. We know what the stars are made of, know of their structures and their lives, only because we are able to observe and analize their specta. Join us in learning more about light!


 

 

All children must be accompanied by an adult. Regular programs are not suitable for children under 5 years old.

14 at 8-9 p.m. - Danger: Solar Storm. Solar Flares, Sunspots, Coronal Mass Ejections and Auroras. Is Earth's new technology safe from the Sun's fiery flare-ups?
