Planning
Santa Fe Community College has begun a new era of planning involving Governing Board members, students, faculty, staff, and administrators as well as members of the Santa Fe community.
The links at the right document a process that has given the college clearly defined Core Values, statements of Purpose and Vision, a revised Mission Statement, new Strategic Priorities and a developing Strategic Plan.
With development of the 2005-15 Strategic Plan we committed to revisiting and revising our work every three to five years. In spring 2011 the Governing Board approved revised Core Values and revised Strategic Goals which have given rise to a Draft revised 2010-2015 Strategic Plan. These revisions were the results of the input and review of College faculty, staff and Board members using multiple venues and media.
Our quality journey has lead to acceptance as an AQIP institution, Quality New Mexico Pinon and Roadrunner recognitions, quality training of over 60 staff members, and improvement of processes and systems throughout the college. Planning documents now include not only the Strategic Plan but a 10-year Facilities Master Plan, a Sustainability Plan, and a Master Plan for Learning. Our first Systems Portfolio was submitted to the Higher Learning Commission in June 2011. Many of these documents can be viewed in their entirety on this website.
