New Mexico EPA Environmental Job Training Program

Prepare for an exciting career in New Mexico’s green economy! Free Six-Week Environmental Job Training Programs are available through the SFCC School of Trades and Advanced Technology for those who qualify.

Environmental Technician Training
Environmental cleanup and investigation

Graduates earn federal and state recognized certifications, including:

  • OSHA Hazardous Waste Site Worker (HAZWOPER) 40 hour
  • CPR and First Aid
  • Incident Command (ICS) Basic

Applicants must be:

  • able to attend the entire six-week program.
  • 18 years or older
  • have a high school diploma or GED
  • able to lift at least 30 lbs
  • unemployed, underemployed or low-income
