Continuing Education - Sustainable Technologies Center Programs
If you're dedicated to helping make the world a cleaner, more energy efficient place, continuing education courses offered through SFCC’s Sustainable Technologies Center can add the walk to your talk. Hands-on experience in the state-of-the-art and LEED certified facility will help you build and remodel in ways that save energy and water.
HOME BUILDING AND DESIGN SERIES
Five courses give those who are planning to build or remodel their own home a range of knowledge and skills to get the work done in a sustainable way. All courses are taught by professionals in the field.
An eight-hour course that teaches contractors about how to renovate, repair and paint in structures with lead-based paint. Students who complete the course will earn EPA Accreditation.
NEW MEXICO ENERGY$MART ACADEMY
Coursework through the NM Energy$mart Academy offers a progressive training that allows students to transition into new green jobs. Classes are supported by state-of-the-art facilities and a mobile training unit, and most offer extensive hands-on training.
