Adult Education - YouthBuild
Youthbuild Santa Fe Community College provides at-risk youth, ages 16-24, free classes and free skills training in a comprehensive, wrap-around program.
The first nine months of the program students work toward obtaining their high school equivalency certificate while earning certification in construction technologies. The second nine months involves student placement in either post-secondary education and/or employment.
Santa Fe Community College YouthBuild program’s mission is to respectfully encourage disadvantaged youth in the adventure and discipline of learning and personal development in pursuit of more productive, compassionate and satisfying lives in service to their community.
We approach this mission with respect for individual creativity and intelligence, acknowledgement of challenging life circumstances and a sense of accountability to, and collaboration with, our wider community.
Youthbuild is fully funded through a grant from the United States Department of Labor.
