Academic Calendar - Spring 2014

The Academic Calendar reflects major dates and events in the college community. Deadlines for all student record transactions are specified for regular 16-week semester courses. Deadlines for alternative calendar courses (late-starting, online, self-paced and short-term courses) are posted in the schedule of credit classes and available in the Registrar’s Office.

Registration for spring 2014 begins - NM residents	Nov. 18, 2013
• Registration between Nov. 18–Jan. 8, 2013 (payment arrangements are due by 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 8) • Register between Jan. 9–22 (payment arrangements are due by 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 22)
Open registration begins – open to all	Jan. 17, 2014
Full-time faculty return *(Limited services available from 8-10 a.m.)*	Jan. 9
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day (college closed)	Jan. 20
Classes begin	Jan. 21
Late Registration	Jan. 21-22
Schedule changes only (drop/add)	Jan. 23-24
Deadline to petition to graduate spring 2014	Feb. 3
Deadline to drop without a grade and obtain a refund	Feb. 7
Faculty Development Day (tentative)	Feb. 21
Deadline to change audit/credit status	March 7
Midterm examinations	March 10-15
Midterm grades due to the Registrar's Office by 5 p.m.	March 17
Spring break (9th week of semester) - college closed	March 17-23

Registration (Summer and Fall 2014) begins - NM residents	April 21
Final examinations	May 12 - 17

Final grades due to Registrar's Office by 5 p.m.	May 19
Commencement	May 21

• Failure to arrange payment by the deadline could result in losing your place in class.
