Accreditation

SFCC is currently accredited through the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA), one of six regional accrediting associations in the United States.

Accreditation, an essential component in the college's ongoing self-evaluation, assures transferability of classes and credits and is necessary for funding from government agencies.

In 2002, the college was awarded a seven-year extension of its accreditation, the typical period allowed under NCA accrediting standards.
