What is the Student Government Association (SGA)?
SGA is the official governance group that represents the SFCC student body. SGA members work to make a difference on campus by representing the student perspective to the administration and various governance councils. They also provide a forum for students to engage in conversations regarding campus issues. SGA encourages and advocates for student involvement on campus by sponsoring student events, programs, and leadership opportunities.
Students enrolled in at least one credit-bearing course are automatically members of the SGA, and are welcome to attend SGA meetings. Students earn voting rights at the third meeting they attend.
SGA propose these bylaws to accomplish our values and transparency in the SGA and Subcommittees. SGA intends to provide a platform and procedures for openness, and to extend participation of the student community. This documentation is a collaboration; feel free to send comments and suggestions to: firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline is November 27, 2014. We will add additional articles for subcommittee procedures , auditing, and transition process.

Meetings are Wednesdays from noon-1 p.m. in the Jemez Rooms.
