Ways to Give to SFCC
There are many ways to give to help SFCC students. Below you will find opportunities that meets your needs:
- Cash—You can make a donation to GROW by check (mail to GROW) or credit card (phone).
- IRA contribution— Name GROW as owner or beneficiary.
- Will or Living Trust—Name the GROW Foundation in your will or living trust with the suggested following language: “I give to the GROW Santa Fe Community College Foundation all or _____% of my estate, or the sum of $________ to be used by the GROW Foundation.” The will can include outright gift of cash, stocks, bonds, real estate, personal property, or a specific percentage of your estate. Consult your attorney to design your estate plan.
- Planned estate gifts—Include GROW Foundation in your will or living trust with tax benefits during your lifetime.
- Real Estate—Gifts of real estate can help by providing income or cash to GROW.
- Stocks or Bonds—Contact your stock broker to make a gift to GROW. A highly appreciated stock gift could give you significant tax advantages.
- Memorial or Honorary Gifts—Leave a lasting legacy—make a special gift to honor someone or in memory of a loved one.
- In-Kind—Donate art, books, vehicles or other personal property.
- Gift of life insurance—By assigning ownership on a life insurance policy to the GROW Foundation, premiums are tax-deductible as well as the value of the policy.
- Retirement assets—Name GROW to limit taxes to be paid by your heirs (70% or more). Gifts to GROW are tax free.
- Annual Fund—We mail our giving envelope every year to request your contribution to our annual fund for scholarships and to where there is the greatest need for students.
- Endowments/Scholarships—Establish a new endowment or scholarship or support one that is existing.
- Naming Opportunities—Leave a legacy by naming a SFCC room or a building with your name or a corporate name or to honor someone.
